This is done by connecting the suspension points with a lower control arm, the chassis' rigidity and handling characteristics are improved while distortion under hard cornering is prevented.

When lowering your car your wheels will start to butterfly inward at the top which makes your tires ride on the edge. LCA's also help reduce camber so that more of your tire touches the ground, keep your tires from rubbing your wing and allows for a wider wheel and tire combination.
